Come out to WantedDesign 2012 during ICFF to see Brooklyness‘ booth at Terminal Stores in “The Tunnel” located on 11th avenue between 27th and 28th street (269 11th Avenue, New York, NY)

WantedDesign 2012 is open to the public Saturday, May 19th to Monday, May 21st 2012, from 10am to 7pm. A shuttle bus will be available from ICFF to WantedDesign everyday from 11am to 5pm.

Then on Sunday, May 20th from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm, desigNYC will be hosting a special talk: “Recharging Communities”, followed by a drink. We are happy to have Giulio around! Giulio studied Industrial Design at ISIA Rome and has a Master in Strategic Design from the Politecnico di Milano. He is currently doing a second Master in Product Service Design, also at the Politecnico di Milano.

Pratt’s industrial design department has invited Manuel Saez to give a lecture at the institution. It will be the third edition of the Pratt lecture series. Previously editions were held by Antenna Design and Victor Sanz from Tumi.

Torino is the latest release from manuel saez & partners. Its slide and sleek design has a clever worktop in matte lacquer on engineered wood. Top slides open via integrated pull to reveal nine square feet of stash space for laptop, iPhone, iPad, projects, books, planners, folders, smalls and supplies—even hidden cord cutouts to charge electronics. Its solid oak stretcher base has continuous “U” legs braced with intentionally exposed hardware.
